As at this point in time I know the technique and processes I want to use to reach my final outcome, but have no appropriate photographs to match I have carried out a refined mini shoot. Within this, I have made sure to include a high contrasting background like before to make the subject selection process a lot easier. Although within this technique I am losing the aspect of the harsh background that I have previously loved in my last few shoots, this technique still allows me to incorporate smoke into my photographs in an effective way. I have found through my experimentation that combining the two aspects together, as nice as this would be, isn’t visually effective and therefore unsuccessful.

Again I have made sure that the bunny is a clear aspect within my photographs. Within my first edit using an existing photograph, I found that the rabbit would have been more effective on the left side of my model where the light shines. Therefore, within this shoot I have made sure of this aspect. I have also dressed my model in very simple clothing to allow an even easier selection of the subject during editing and to create no distractions such as jackets and logos that I felt took hold in my last edit.

Even though within the photo shoot process I made sure to include a contrasting background, I still found it difficult to separate the subject from the background. Once I had done this, I also found initially that it was hard to estimate where about the smoke should fade and become stronger. In my first edit, I have found that the smoke fades away too much from the top and bottom of the image losing its form. I also believe the rabbit isn’t as obvious I would like within this photograph which I dislike.

I found the second edit a lot more successful because of the use of smoke and the overall form of the photograph. But again I came across the problem of too much smoke covering the rabbit making it blend in to the background of the image. Instead, I would prefer if the rabbit was one of the main visual aspects of the image and stood out from the rest of the image to emphasise my theme and ideas.
I found the next edit the most successful, but had go through various attempts to achieve the final outcome. At first, I found that the level of smoke was too much overpowering the image itself making the outline and the subject itself less clear. Although I found within this edit that the rabbit was very clear which I liked. The next edit included an effective amount of smoke, but still covered the face and rabbit being the two most important sections of the image.

Finally, the last edit was the most successful out of the 3. I found it incorporated an even amount of smoke as well as giving a clear view of the models face and the bunny.
