To develop my ideas and further incorporate the idea of influences on children I will use younger model like I previously planned. To refine my ideas I will also set my photo shoot at the same place as previously, to show how children are effected by what is left behind by others within their surroundings. As I found the surroundings of my previous shoot so effective, I have planned to go back and capture the same scenes using the same concept bust exploring a much younger age. I believe this will really help to emphasise my theme, and create a shocking, unique effect. I believe both shoots contrasted together will show perfectly how young children can be influenced by their older peers.

I found that this has been my most successful shoot so far within my project. Because I loved the previous location in my previous shoot, I returned to capture a more developed photo shoot and found that the area had in fact been closed off. This was a big problem within my shoot, but physically shows that the council have had to bar off a dangerous area that reflected bad influences of young individuals and to protect them. In a way, I feel as if the main section of the viaduct being closed off has worked to my advantage. The warning and trespassing signs in the background help o emphasise how the younger individual should not be there but is being influenced by others to break this rule.
Within this shoot, although no artist so far in my research specifically show this, I have shown an older peer lighting the cigarette of my younger model. This not only helps to emphasise my theme of influences but shows a direct influence of the older generations introducing the young to their addictions. I have also re-introduced the bunny/bear within this shoot and find that the contrast between this soft playful toy, the harsh graffiti background and real cigarette creates an amazing effect. I would love to keep the bunny as a continuous aspect within my photographs to show that even though a young individual may be carrying out adult actions, they are still a child at heart.

As usual I have selected the best photographs from my shoot and added a greyscale effect as well as increasing the contrast to add more dimension. I have focused on different angles within my shoot, capturing full body photos as well as close ups to make the cigarette in hand more obvious than my last shoot. Also, I have dressed my model in my brother’s clothes to show further influences, rather than the pretty dresses I captured in my last shoot using this model.

Overall, I believe that the two separate photo shoots have been a success in showing me what I would like to continue exploring. As both photo shoots have focused on two opposing ages and genders, it has allowed me to refine my ideas. Even though the combination of 2 ages in the same shoot is effective, I believe focusing on a younger age as I expected is a lot more effective and dramatic as it is not the everyday norm.
